Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do I need to be a member of your church to get married?
A: No. We do weddings for both members and non-members. All policies and requirements are the same for everyone.
Q: Are fees different for members and non-members?
A: Yes. Charges for the use of the facilities are reduced for members who are active church participants. “Member” refers to persons who are on the current membership roll at PCC and are active in the life of the church. “Active church participants” refers to persons who have a history of regular worship attendance or financial support.
Q: Do we have to use one of PCC’s ministers?
A: No. Guest ministers are welcome to perform in the wedding ceremony. Guest minister must provide formal documentation with licensing, and/or letter stating their denomination or church membership.
Q: Can PCC provide a minister to perform the wedding ceremony?
A: Yes. PCC is very proud of the relationships built between our wedding team and each couple. To help make your wedding unique and personal, a minister will be chosen for your wedding according to their availability.
Q: Do we have to do premarital counseling?
A: For members premarital counseling is required. Premarital counseling for non-members is recommended and available, but optional. However, if a non-member couple chooses to use a minister from PCC, premarital counseling is required. We are here to prepare couples for marriage, not simply to perform weddings. This is an important time for the minister to get to know you as a couple, to help prepare you for marriage, and to plan your ceremony.
Q: Who is part of the wedding team?
A: PCC has an amazing wedding team to ensure your wedding day is perfect! The required team for all weddings consists of the minister, wedding coordinator, and custodian. We also have talented PCC musicians and audio/visual personnel, but according to their availability.
Q: Do I have to use PCCs wedding coordinator?
A: Yes. Please call the business office at 216.721.5934 so that a wedding day coordinator can assist you in starting the beginning process of planning your perfect day!
Q: Do we need to follow the same policies?
A: Yes. We have learned that every wedding deserves the same level of attention and care. All weddings at PCC must follow the same policies regardless of the size of the wedding.
Q: When are fees due?
A: Your deposit will reserve your wedding date. All other fees are due at the wedding rehearsal.
Approximately one month prior to the ceremony, the wedding day coordinator will confirm in writing the amount of the charges due for the wedding. Payment is due at the wedding rehearsal. If payment is not received at that time the church may cancel the wedding. Cash and Checks are accepted by the business office at PCC between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays). Checks should be made payable to Pentecostal Church of Christ, marked with the date and time of the wedding reservation on the memo line. They may be brought to the Scheduling
