OUR FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS

The Scripture – We believe the Bible to be inspired of God, the infallible (unfailing) word of God. (II Timothy 3:16)

The One True God – There is only one ever-living, eternal God, without boundaries in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute indivisible (unable to be divided) deity, who manifested himself in the flesh as His Son (Jesus), and as the Holy Spirit, working in the lives of the believers. (I Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 5:19; Ephesians 4:6; Joel 2:28)

Creation of Man and His Fall – In the beginning God created man innocent, pure and holy (in His own image), but through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, man fell from their holy state, and sin entered into the world. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12)

Salvation – Despite our sin, God loved us enough that He gave His son as a sacrifice, dying for us and saving us from sin. If we confess openly that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead, we can be saved. (John 3:16-18; Romans 10:9-19)

Repentance – The word “Repentance” means a change of views and purpose, change of heart, change of mind, change of life, transformation, etc. Forgiveness of sin is obtained by genuine repentance, and a confessing and forsaking of sin. (Luke 13:3; Luke 24:47)

Water Baptism – We believe in the scriptural mode of baptism: immersion (covering completely in water). Water Baptism is for those who have genuinely repented (turned from their sin and turned from a love of the world) because this act is a symbol of the Christian’s identification of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection; and once baptized, we walk in the newness of life. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48; Acts 19:5; Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12)

Tithing – We believe the tithe belongs to God, and tithing is God’s financial plan to provide for His work. (Malachi 3:8-12)
